A prototype light fixture made during an internship with Lostine — a lamp where a single source shines not only through the bottom of the pendant, but also through the gaps between each layer.
Context
From the kiln to the lathe.
A prototype light fixture made during an internship with Lostine, aligned to the company’s brand identity and manufacturing capabilities. The concept grew out of ceramics work at NPage Studio, a sister company of RTO and Lostine.
The vision: a lamp where a single source would shine not only through the bottom of the pendant, but also come through the gaps between each layer.

Making
Printed, sanded, sprayed.
Concept ideation moved into Fusion 360, then 3D printing, then spray painting and finishing. The layered plastic shades were sanded smooth and sprayed to read as a single soft material.
